Henry Donaldson
Dentist (GDC number 79469)

“Henry Donaldson and Richard Bannister qualified with a BDS in the same year at Sheffield University Dental School in 2001. They have since worked in both NHS and private practice, both at home and overseas. Their commitment to a higher standard of care has seen them both undertake extensive further postgraduate study that gives them a firm grounding in the sciences of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. They are delighted to be taking over as lead dentists at Swan, and to be continuing the tradition of quality patient care upheld by Mrs Norman and her predecessors.”

Born and bred in York, Henry completed his VT year in Harrogate before working at one of New Zealand's top private practices. On his return to Yorkshire Henry continued to further his interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry (removing as little healthy tooth enamel as possible). He completed the Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Institute in 2005 and, in 2012/13 trained at the renowned Dawson Academy which teaches the essential principles and skills for complete care with a focus on dental occlusion, the temporomandibular joints and comprehensive aesthetic restorative dentistry. He is also a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry

Away from work, Henry loves spending time with his wife Rachel, their two young daughters Heidi and Elsie, and their mischievous golden labrador, Baxter. He enjoys biking, snowboarding, and recently he has foolishly begun to enter triathlon competitions. How long he keeps this up for remains to be seen!
